US Passport Card: "List A" Acceptable Document

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has announced that the new U.S. Passport Card may be used as a “List A” acceptable document.  List A documents are ones that indicate both the employee’s identity as well as employment eligibility.

The U.S. Passport Card is a wallet sized document that may be used by U.S. citizens for land and sea travel between the United States and Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean and Bermuda.  Attached is a sample picture of the Passport Card.  The Department of State began distributing the Passport Cards in July.   More information about this new card is available at the Department of State (DOS) website, at: http://travel.state.gov/passport/ppt_card/ppt_card_3923.html.
