The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has announced that the new U.S. Passport Card may be used as a “List A” acceptable document. List A documents are ones that indicate both the employee’s identity as well as employment eligibility.
The U.S. Passport Card is a wallet sized document that may be used by U.S. citizens for land and sea travel between the United States and Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean and Bermuda. Attached is a sample picture of the Passport Card. The Department of State began distributing the Passport Cards in July.
