Green Move-Out
During student move-out each spring, literally tons of re-usable or recyclable materials are disposed of by University of Michigan students living off-campus. The Green Move-Out Packet includes a list of disposal options, which allows landlords to design the most efficient system of waste collection fo their properties during move-out, together with the staff from Recycle Ann Arbor's ReUse Center. The Green Move-Out Packet is absolutely free!
The packet's information includes:
- Participation form to fill out and send in.
- General information about Recycle Ann Arbor, U of M, and Michigan Recycles.
- A checklist to prepare and pull off the event.
- Posters that let tenants know where and when collections take place.
- Standard language for you to publish in a newsletter or flier for tenants.
- Large collection boxes for you to use on site.
- Detailed guidelines of what can and cannot be accepted.
- Information about the ReUse Center and how to bring materials there.
- Optional collection service (call for a quote on the fee) if you cannot provide transportation to the ReUse Center.
- Advertising and marketing as participating in "Green Move-Out."
