Waste Bin, Labeling & Standardization Initiative

In November, 2015, U-M President Schlissel announced a series of projects aimed at achieving the University's sustainability goals. One of these projects was a call to standardize the types of recycling, trash and compost bins found across campus, as well as create a unified style and format to bin labels and signs.

Details on the standards, current status and roll out schedule are available here.

Help U-M compete against colleges and universities nationwide by reducing your waste and recycling the rest.
