Other projects Hospital & WHRC Krause Lab Stadium Locker Room Women's Basketball Commencement on the Diag In mid-February a team of individuals from Development, Architecture and Engineering and Plant Operations met to begin planning how to convert the Diag in the center of campus into venue to safely seat 4,000 graduates and upwards of 25,000 friends and family members. The physical challenges were enormous, they included trees blocking site lines, hills which required temporary removal, temporary flooring, folding chairs, bleachers, audio walls and sound towers. The planning for the event involved a project schedule which was very similar in nature to a construction or renovation project. The phase outlined all of the activities which involved competitive bid and award such as Flooring, Seating, Audio Video and staging. The photo at right shows the stage under construction.
